    The other hot band from Bill Monroe's home town of Rosine, Kentucky. Left-handed fiddler Atchison (1912 -), Hurt (1901-67), Holmes (d. 1947), and Taylor (1900-62) changed their name from the Kentucky Ramblers after going on the radio in Chicago in the early 30's, They went to Hollywood in the 40's, appearing in numerous films (watch for that left-handed fiddler in your favorite cowboy flick). "Mandola" is not a typo; it is the tenor instrument of the mandolin family, tuned CGDA, like the viola,
