This tune is another illustration of the metamorphosis in fiddle tunes. The parent tune is "Bummer's Reel," published by Howe in the 1860s. "Bummer's Reel" appears as "Levantine's Barrel" in 1000 Fiddle Tunes. Recorded by Bob Walters, December, 1956.
