  • Cackling Hen

    James Dedrick Harris (1859- 1933), a legend among the fiddlers of western North Carolina, was born in Erwin TN, but lived in Andrews NC most of his life. The fiddle he plays was made by his father in the 1840's, stolen during the Civil War, and recovered years later.
