    Not Carroll County, Virginia, not Carrohl County, Maryland, mot Carroll County Kentucky, or Georgia, but Carroll County Mississippi, where Willie T. Narmour (1889-1961) and Shell W. Smith (1895-1968) lived. They Were spotted by an QKeh talent scout at a fiddlers! convention in Winona in 1927, and went on to a successful recording career in to the 1930s. This tune is the third of the Carroll County Blues, the first of which has become a fiddle standard,
