Asa Martin (1900-79), of Lexington, Kentucky, was the son of a state legislator and a music teacher, who gave up medical school when the money ran out to pursue a lifelong career in music, Roberts (1897-1978) found the life of a professional musician tiresome, and returned to his farm around 1934. The second guitar on the fiddle tune is by Doc's son James (1917- ), who was featured on last year's tape,
