    Cliff Carlisle was born in Mt. Eden, Kentucky in 1904. He began recording and performing in the mid-20s, first with Wilbur Ball, then with his younger brother Bill. He Retired from music around 1950, and returned to Kentucky, wheee he died in 1983.
