Don't Drink It In Here

  • Don't Drink It In Here

Despite the name, this band was strictly a Chicago outfit. The other members faded into obscurity within a few years, but Georgia Tom went on to an illustrious career as gospel songwriter Rev. Thomas A. Dorsey. The song 1s just a little reminder of the old days when alcohol was our number 1 illegal drug.

Bill Johnson's Louisiana Jug Band: Frankie "Half Pint" Jaxon, vocal; "Georgia Tom" Dorsey, piano; Bill Johnson, bass; others.
