    Odus Maggard, the only banjo pupil of the legendary Dock Boggs, was born in Perry County, Kentucky in 1915; Roberts in Wise County, Virginia in 1912. They had a brief musical career in the late 30's, breaking up soon after this recording session They spent their later years in Tennessee, Maggard as a barber in Kingsport, Roberts as a construction worker in Clinton.
