    Bud Landress (1882-1968) and Bill Chitwood (1888-1961) were part of a ciryle of musicians from Gordon County, Georgia who playd a number of instruments, and sang everything from shape-note hymns to barbershofpquartets,The Victor Company hoped they'd be the answer to Columbia's enormously popular Skillet Lickers, but, good as they were, they never hit it that big.
