This version contains some additions to "Gray Eagle" (in two parts) such as was published in 1935 in 100 WLS Bam Dance Favorites (Chicago). "Gray Eagle" was also published in the key of Bb in Harding's All-Around Collection of Jigs and Reels (New York, 1905). The tune in Ford's book (page 45), under title of "The Forked Deer," is a reasonable facsimile of "Gray Eagle." Recorded by Floyd Smith in September, 1952.
