While I stand by my previous statement that the Blue Sky Boys rule the duet-singing universe, the Monroes are a close runner up. Although Bill (1911-97) was the more famous in later years, his older brother Charlie (1903-75) was the original leader of the act, This, and other problems, led to their famously acrimonious breakup in 1938.
