OK, equal time... Anyhow, the Grant Brothers, from Bristol, Slagle, the same, and Pierce, from Marion VA, showed up at Victor's 1927 Bristol session as Jimmie Rodgers’ backup band, starting off on their own after Rodgers recorded as a solo.
