    The oldest of the three Morris brothers of Old Fort, North Carolina, George (b. 1914) was also the least extensively recorded, He wasn't at home the day - the Mainers came looking for a guitar player; and his younger siblings Zeke and Wiley joined Mainer'’s Mountaineers and became well known. George, however, was locally successful on radio, and his partnership with Leonard Stokes (1915-73) of Albemarle, North Carolina proved that you don't have to be brothers to do first-rate duet singing.
