Paul Kirk notes: This tune appears in Thede as " 'Lasses Cane or Liza Jane" p. 38 notated from the playing of Sherman Collins, Pawnee County, OK.

It is the same tune as "Tell Her to Come Back Home" (Mazy Todd)--1927 recording of Uncle Dave Macon in G.

The tune also appears on the 1928 recording of Pope's Arkansas Mountaineers Get Along Home Miss Cindy. Thede's lyrics are different, but the choruses are related.
