In the summer of 1952, the Stanleys were playing over station WSLI in Pikeville, and between record contracts, when Rich-R-Tone's proprietor Jim Stanton showed up, interested in recording them again, using the station's facilities. They mentioned this on the air, hoping to draw some interest, and more than got their wish, As Stanton told it,"There was people out in the yard waitin' to see ‘em. About noon we had the yard full, the station full, and people trying to do the newscast aggravated at us..."

The Stanley Brothers: Ralph Stanley, vocal, banjo; Carter Stanley, guitar.
