The odd band name refers to the practice of "gigging", or spearing grinnel, a freshwater fish common in the Bootheel region of southeastern Missouri, where these musicians lived. So, with a rousing ragtime tune, comes the end of this year's Christmas CD. A Merry Christmas, and happy and prosperous 2010 to all. And to all a good night...

Grinnel Giggers: Ben Tinnon, fiddle; Melvin Paul, mandolin;Grover Grant, guitar.
