Jess Johnston fiddle
Roy Harvey (1892-1958) of Beckley, West Virginia is best remembered as the guitarist with Charlie Poole's North Carolina Ramblers. Jess Johnston (1898-1952) of Wolf Pen, West Virgdnia peeformed at the White Top Festival in 1935, and was briefly involved with John Powell, a mediocre composer and lunatic racist, but happily nothing came of the proposed coflaborstion.
