The Black Brothers of Hatch, Dona Ana County, New Mexico, played for local square dances. Their orchestra was composed of family members and was generally available unless the travel requirements conflicted with their regular occupation of operating a lumber yard. I did not record them directly, so I have relied on memory for their music in this book
