Seven Sipter Blues

  • Seven Sister Blues

Another rarity from the burgeoning Bill Wroten collection, this record isn't exactly a piece of truth in labeling. The singer's name is actually Edward Thompson. The song is mostly the traditional "Rolling And Tumbling Blues". The recording company, the "New York Recording Laboratories", was a chair factory in Wisconsin that owned not a single piece of its own recording equipment, This session was recorded for them by the Starr Piano Company, in the small studio upstairs from their piano store in New York.

    Tenderfoot Edwards, vocal, guitar.
