New Orleans LA 2/20/36 Armenter Chatmon (1893-1964), aka "Bo Carter", was part of a prominent extended family of musicians from around Jackson, Mississippi. He stated out with his brothers’ band, the Mississippi1 Sheiks, but moved on to Chicago and a successful solo career in the 30s.
