Under The Pale Moonlight

  • Under The Pale Moonlight

Dick Burnett (1883-1977) of Monticello, Kentucky had been a professional musician since 1908, when he was blinded by a shotgun-wielding robber, He could play any instrument well, but preferred the banjo; so he and his partner Leonard Rutherford (1900-54) were always on the lookout for a good guitar player. They met Moore (1889-1949) in Norton, Virginia, where he was running a barbershop, and they were playing at the coal camps.

Leonard Rutherford, lead vocal, fiddle; Richard Burnett, bass vocal, banjo; Byrd Moore, guitar.
