Ward Jarvis

In the mid 1970s I rode down to Athens County, Ohio with Jeff Goehring twice. These were all taken on the second (and last) trip I took, in 1977. These were scanned from slides I shot. Suzy Goehring was with us on one of the trips but I don't recall if it was the one these photos document. Ward was a gracious host and an amazing storehouse of traditional WV tunes, but he also learned more "modern" fiddle tunes, yet played them as if they were used for dances in the 1800s.
