This tune is among the best for oldtime square dances, and few, if any, could play it as well as Bill Driver. Local fiddlers in central Missouri have mentioned this tune was propagated by Daniel Boone Jones, a widely remembered fiddler from Boone County, who represented Missouri in one of Henry Ford's national contests in the late 1920S. Recorded by Bill Driver on December 13,1950
