Hell Among The Yearlings

Key
Tuning

Some fiddlers may play versions or this tune, obviously memorized from an early 78-rpm recording. The ending or the first part in the commercial recording is prolonged with extra notes, a disagreeable version for the accompanist. Ford's "Hell Among the Yearlings" (page 101) is a fair approximation or an old Missouri folk song, "Got a Little Home to Go To." Recorded by Bob Walters, July 29, 1958. A similar version was recorded by George Helton in July, 1956
