Down Home Rag

Tune Title

Played by Tom and Eva, who had a morning program over KFEQ, St. Joe, Missouri, around 1932. Tom fiddled and Eva played a pump organ, and their music was enjoyable. This version is somewhat at variance with "Down Home Rag" published in Original Dance Calls by Will Rossiter (Chicago, 1926). An earlier commercial recording titled "Hell Among the Yearlings" by Herman Brothers (Broadway label #8r65) is actually "Down Home Rag."
