As played by Gus Vandergriff. This tune was fairly common in central Missouri in the late 1920S and early 1930s. A commercial recording of "Dry and Dusty" appeared several years ago and was comparable in many respects with the version Gus played. A quite different tune under this title is in Thede's book.
